On September 24, 2025, the Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf (ECD) school community came together for a joyful and meaningful De’VIA Art Challenge!

Every student and staff member participated in this vibrant school-wide activity, which combined creativity, culture, and a little healthy competition.
With laughter, teamwork, and just a touch of playful elbow-nudging, participants explored the powerful history and purpose of the De’VIA (Deaf View/Image Art) movement, which is an expressive genre that celebrates Deaf experiences through visual art. The event was both educational and heartwarming, sparking deeper conversations about identity, language, and Deaf culture.
