You can see your contact information that you have provided to your school.  If any of this information is incorrect, please contact your school.
Contacts

This displays a list of student(s) identified with your email address provided to create your SM account.  If you have students across different schools, they will all be listed here with their corresponding school under their name as long as you provided each school with the same email address.

Settings

Under settings, you can enable push notifications so that you can be notified of messages on your phone or device if the SM App is not opened.  You can also delete your account under settings if you no longer have a student enrolled in a school.

Troubleshooting

If you have set up your account, but are not receiving messages nor seeing your students under contacts, please contact your student’s school for assistance as there may be many factors such as incorrect email on file with the school.

If your school has requested that you are set up to receive text messages through SM, you must opt in to receive these messages.  Please see the instructions on opting in to receive text messages.  You must opt in from the phone that the school has on file for you in order to receive these messages.  If you have opted in, but are not receiving messages, please follow up with your school.

School Messenger Opt-In to Receive Text Messages

In order to receive a Text/SMS message from your student’s school, you need to Opt-In to this service as although the service is free, there may be standard data or text rates which apply through your cell phone provider.

To Opt-In to receiving Text/SMS messages (this MUST be done from the phone number that the school has on file for you):

  • Text Y or Yes to 978338

To Opt-Out and no longer receive text messages:

  • Reply STOP to one of the SM text messages

If you have opted in and you are not receiving expected text messages, please contact your school to assist with troubleshooting.
