If the student meets the criteria for application and has registered with their home school board, a request is submitted to initiate the admission process through a
referral package
.
One of our consultants will review student information, including their recent report cards, IEPs, audiograms, and other pertinent information in the Ontario Student Record and/or provided by the family and service providers. A consultant will also observe the student in their current education setting and interview pertinent staff, the student and their family.
The home school/board's Identification, Placement, and Review Committee (IPRC) will make a recommendation for school placement. This recommendation must also be submitted with the application.
Our admissions committee will review the information in the application and make a recommendation to the Superintendent.
The Superintendent will notify the student's family/caregivers about the admission decision by mail or e-mail.
